Guys, Dropping the pulling shoulder below the table is illegal in Canada USAA, and WAF, but this is not what George is doing. He is keeping his pulling shoulder level with the table, therefore a legal position. I repeat what George is doing is a legal move and not likely to be banned.

I've only seen video of George but I've seen Norm Devio and Mike Shaulob get into very similiar situations. I will admit though that it seems as though it's a technique that the lighter weight guys use. I don't see many (if any) 199lbs and up pullers trying to do that move. I will say this though a friend of mine who pulled the 220lbs class did it once and tore his bicep tendon right off.

I've armwrestled a couple of people over the years that ended up in an almost straight arm position or straight arm position, and they can hold it for quite a while if you continue to pull across the table. Most seem to give up quickly if you change direction of the pressure and press directly down toward the table top. You don't have to do it quickly or with the tought of hurting their arm, just a steady pressure , and slowly turn up the volume of the pressure and they get the message.

George's style, while different, and subsequently effective, is legal. He is a specialist, and like all specialists they can be beaten by a technically diverse puller, eventually. An ulnarly deviated pronating toproll with lightning fast speed will accomplish this. I believe Craig demonstrated that very well last year at the Show Of Strength.

I can assure you George does not see it that way. Well I guess when he get smoked so fast that he didn't know what happened, then he didn't see it that way. Craig beat Chad twice that day, and remember that Chad beat George also. So if Chad can beat George, and Craig beat Chad twice, then I think that gives Craig plenty of a fair chance of beating George. I honeslty believe that Chad or Craig have a decent chance of beating George again.

Engin In the past couple of years I have only seen George lose quickly, foul out, or be pushed off the elbow pad (another controversal move)by his opponent. If he stops you he wears you down and wins.
What do you think about the push, pull or lift to foul your opponent's elbow? Legal or slimey??
