"If every time you had your two neighbors over to your house to watch a football game one never brings anything but does nothing wrong and the other brings something but he steals from you, time and time again after he has sold off your items and could not repay you for your loss he comes to you apologizes and begs your forgiveness, and each time you granted it, how long would it be before you put a stop it, which guy would you rather have in your house? Why should god be any different, because he is better than us, he will accept the repeated repenting thief with absolutely no sincerity for his actions over the man that never harmed you but never gave of himself?"
I believe you have a misconception of the grace and mercy of God. Unless the thief in your story truly repents he cant be forgiven. If he continues to sin the bible says there is no sacrifice for it.
Hebrews 10:26. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
"Ryan you seem to have a significant concern for the Mormon Religion, "
The mormon church is supposedly based on the bible but Joseph Smith used witchcraft with is an abomanation, to translate the teaching of mormon and to do other things involving the foundation of the church. these people manipulate their followers to the extent of murder if they leave the church. Many other situations. Many of them you wouldnt understand unless you saw the bible the way i do. Though its not about peoples views. But about truth. And the mormon church is based completly on lies and deception.

Are you really reading all of this Christian or just musing at the size of the posts?
Do you think I could start my own religion, not the first church of atheism that is just too much for most people to handle, to many atheism ='s devil worshiper..... for the record I do not believe in the devil either.
What could I call it?

Simon, sign me the heck up.
The First Church of Armwrestling Athiests.
If L. Ron Hubbard made his own religion, so can we! The problem arrises when getting tax exemption, I think you need a lot of members for that.

all you have to do is become an ordained minister to have tax exemptions.
My cousin did it of course i think its blasphemous the way and reason he did it. Legally he is a recognized ordained minister because five of his friends signed a paper saying they were a part of their church so he could marry all of his friends as the minister. Of course a bible believing church does not acknowledge this.
To clarify im not recomending you do this nor am i encouraging it.

So you have to mean it when you give yourself to god well that wipes out about 90% of the church going folks in the country. Almost everyone I know that considers themselves god fearing people continue to sin according to their beliefs all the time, then they go to church or confession and it is all better....
How can you mean it if you keep doing it and god should already know you are going to keep doing it so why bother, I mean how many sins does a guy get before he is out of luck? What if the person has already sinned beyond his ability to get back in but then he turns his life around and devotes his life to the lord can he get a reinstatement?
Ryan the truth really depends on where you are standing at the moment from where you are standing you have your perception of the truth from where I am standing I have mine and that is perfectly OK.

Thats funny ;D that would be pretty cool shirt.
Simon,
the bible talks about how sometimes people become reprobate where the spirit of God no longer draws them.
"So you have to mean it when you give yourself to god well that wipes out about 90% of the church going folks in the country"
Matthew 7:13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Matthew 22:14. For many are called, but few are chosen.

Ryan I actually have that shirt, it was given to me by Brent Norris, I used to wear it to weigh ins, when I was running around at 132, I have not done enough yet at 154 to wear it yet.
I will wrap up my part of this.
Bill, you made a very valid point in the other thread, though letter of the law logical, how could Mary be born without sin, as she was of man but, if you are an omnipotent being and you are going to go to all of the trouble to send your son to earth, there really should not be any reason why you would not make an exception with Mary, this leads me to the flipside which is if god can and will make exceptions then why does it seem that everything else is so black and white and cannot be changed regardless of circumstances? No real need to answer just the question that keeps me thinking as I do.
All..... I did not mean to insinuate that you either need to not believe in god or believe as I think is appropriate or you are full of $hit, frankly we are all full of $hit in some manner or another, what I meant is that I can understand the logic behind people that believe as I described, people that have a relationship with god that is not bound by earthly parameters, I have a hard time with the religious limitations that man seems to have placed upon an all powerful being, though I like discussing this and challenging perceptions...... to each their own, who the hell am I to tell anyone else how to live?
