Ive never really heard the point or conclusion of this debate untill the other day at school.

Taken from "How Stuff Works"
"This question appears regularly in the question file, so let's take a shot at it.
In nature, living things evolve through changes in their DNA. In an animal like a chicken, DNA from a male sperm cell and a female ovum meet and combine to form a zygote -- the first cell of a new baby chicken. This first cell divides innumerable times to form all of the cells of the complete animal. In any animal, every cell contains exactly the same DNA, and that DNA comes from the zygote.
Chickens evolved from non-chickens through small changes caused by the mixing of male and female DNA or by mutations to the DNA that produced the zygote. These changes and mutations only have an effect at the point where a new zygote is created. That is, two non-chickens mated and the DNA in their new zygote contained the mutation(s) that produced the first true chicken. That one zygote cell divided to produce the first true chicken.
Prior to that first true chicken zygote, there were only non-chickens. The zygote cell is the only place where DNA mutations could produce a new animal, and the zygote cell is housed in the chicken's egg. So, the egg must have come first."

never seen a NON Chicken My guess would be the chicken, if God would have created the egg first, there wouldn't have been a chicken around to sit on it to hatch it ;D ;D ;D

Joseph, In that case we must becareful that when we produce children a horse doesnt pop out one day due to a mutation in the womb. That doesnt make much sense.
Also ive never seen a non-chicken. Was it called a non-chicken befoe the chicken came? if it was called a non-chicken before the chicken came then it must have been planned that the mutation woyuld occur. planned so much in advance that the the non-chicken was named the non-chicken.
This a funny one ;D

I won't argue the principals of evolution with someone who doesn't understand them

I dont think anyone does but ok. ;D
Here is a story i found. This is the reason i asked the question. I never heard the complete argument before i like the way this one turned out.
A young skeptic said to an elderly lady, "I once believed in God, but now, since studying philosophy and mathematics, I am convinced that God is but and empty word"
"Well," said the Lady, "it is true that i have not learned these things, but since you have, can you tell me from whence the egg comes from?"
"Why, of course, from the hen," was the reply.
"And where does the hen come from?"
"Why, from an egg."
Then the lady inquired, "may i ask which existed first, the hen or the egg?"
"The hen of course" rejoined the young man.
"Oh, then, a hen must have existed without coming from an egg?"
"Oh no, I shouldve said the egg was first."
"Then i suppose you mean the egg existed without coming from a hen?"
The young man hesitated: "well, you see- that is-of course, well, the hen was first!"
"Very well," she said. "Who made the first hen from which all succeeding eggs and hens have come?"
"What do you mean by all this?" he asked.
"Simply this," She replied, "I say that He who created the first egg or hen is the One who created the world. You cant explain the existance even of a hen or an egg without God, and yet you wish me to believe that you can explain the existance of the whole world without Him!"
