if your life style hasnt changed...you must be cheap...what are you gonna do...spend now while your making it and can still function...or save it till you retire..when you cant move or think as well...you gonna be healthy?...i know why i work...to get the things i want now..this life is no trial run..sure you got to save some for your future...but one thing for sure is...death is in our future...spend now while its pouring in...cuz i guarantee you that you wont spend any when its not pouring in...you`ll just want to hold on to it and stare at it..how comforting..

What are your thoughts on the flat tax? Can you get more fair than that. The same for everyone across the board.

Or did you think those 18 year olds had thousands of dollars to pay there own way? (Columbia unniversity 40k a year!) (Harvard is about 35k a year) (even community college is too much very an 18 year old)
But i'm sure you think everyone got loans? Well who co-signs those loans? Rich parents do.
And if they can't...you don't get in.

How is someone cheap? I get what I want when I want....
Paying for a sports car or a high end truck is stupid. Paying for a huge house is stupid.
What I meant when I said my life style didn't change....was....I didn't go buy cars or a house that would have me making monthly payments.
As for material stuff....I buy it when I want it.

Phil,
It sounds like you are bitter because you didn't have any help at all growing up. I was fortunate enough to have a dad who went out and worked hard and saved his money and invested it wisely. He was able to help me in several areas. He didn't however just "GIVE" me everything I wanted. As a matter of fact, the first month after I graduated from high school he started charging me rent. I had a fit but he was right. I wasn't in school and it was time to step up and be a man. If you are saving $60,000 a year (minus taxes of course), and are not willing to help your children get an education or start their own business, then you are a poor excuse for a father.

I guess I don't really understand how a flat tax would work. If we need to increase the taxes (which we are talking about), the "RICH" pay more than the "POOR" right now. You can't drop the "RICH" tax back down and I don't think the "POOR" can stand 35% of their money to go to taxes, so how would that work. I'm not being disrespectful, I just don't understand where you are going with this.
