i was contacted early today and told that Cleve Dean has passed away. his family asked me to post this and keep all th arrangements posted so all those who would like to attend service or send condolences can do so.
Cleve was a great friend. A kinder, gentler soul you will never find. i will miss him.

Very sad news indeed. No matter who I talked to or what I was reading, Cleve was always mentioned with the highest regard. My condolences to his family and friends. Below are a couple photos of Cleve Dean and Jeff Neal (Team Maine) from Oct/Nov of 2010. Cleve was gracious enough to set aside a couple of hours so that Jeff could meet him while he was down south on vacation. One of the photos shows Cleve sketching out his handprint on Jeff's shirt with a sharpy.

Truly one of the nicest I have met in this sport.
Of the little I have spoke with him about his faith I know without a doubt that he is with the lord today.
Truly a legend

I notice a lot of people referred to Cleve as kind and that is the perfect word to describe him. So sorry I will not be seeing him next weekend. Terribly sad news, my thoughts are with his family.

Very sad news. Cleve will surely be missed. I can remember Cleve and Danny Mason pulling 30 years ago for 10 K sponsored by Budweiser like it was just a few years ago
