The worst outcome for Voevoda of "Voevoda peak"-"Larratt peak" might be 5-1 for Voevoda, JMO. Voevoda's hand, wrist and rotation were amazing, his backpressure was inhuman: the guy could do one-arm pull ups at about 120kg. IMO the strength difference is too much for the endurance to matter.

Yea the one arm pull ups are ridiculous, he doesnt even use his other hand to support his wrist, crazy strength

pull ups and flag poles don't win supermatches.

being able to do Pull ups was one of his abilities that helps to win.

Look up Devon Larratt: Spirit of Hugh Brodie on youtube. You'll see some pull ups.

I love sports because you can get into these, as Rob said, Ali/Tyson talks.
My opinion on this is "how many times does Devon have to win to make believers"? Can prime Devon sweep prime Alexey? No. Will Devon win 4? Yep.
I also don't think that Mike Todd was anywhere close to 280 during his supermatch with Alexey. I am guessing 245-255...which is a 20-30 pound disadvantage to Alexey. I think the Monster was heaviest last year against Devon, and that was 280 from what I heard, and he looked it.
The weight issue has been debated ad-nauseum, I happen to believe that weight does matter because there is a correlation to strength. Mike didn't have the horsepower with Alexey (245lb) that I think he has now (270lb), and I am not sure that would have mattered; Alexey is a freak...
But so is Devon. For so many reasons (technique, endurance, intelligenc on the table, strength) I think Devon would win 4-2. For only one reason do I think Voevoeda would win (straight HP). In my opinion Alexey doesn't have enough tools to overcome Devon's arsenal of awesome armwrestling (amazing alliteration).
I would like to see it, and I think Dante is correct stating that Alexey has the build and natural frame/ability to get back into the sport after Stoli in a couple years.

David: Unfortunately I don't have footage of it, but Devon can do one armed pull ups (seen it myself) and he uses pullup bars that have vinyl piping over it to make it thicker. He's climbed ropes as well (also thick). Feats of strength like this are legend in our sport, and I'm glad that Voevoda's were documented as they were. No question, he's a monster at the time and can be again and is a real threat against any of the top 10. I pointed out the video as a form of talent. A few other guys had tried the routine, and I recommend you do too, and you'll see what it takes to pull it off. That's all.
John: I agree with you on the Ali/Tyson talks, they are just that, fun and speculation. I enjoyed your analysis. Maybe it will yet happen! I do hope one day Devon is able to win folks over.

I tried it Jason, with 60's. I went 3 rounds exactly how Devon did. That workout is beastmode.

With Larratt it's always the same. He beats the current best and there is another to throw at him. This guy... That guy.... Some other guy can beat him.... But, they NEVER do. "If the beat's (insert name) I'll believe" but they never do. I wish I could compile the comments on youtube or this board to prove this point. It's natural I suppose, either people rally around a champ (like Brzenk) or they can't wait to see him fall (like Larratt). I very much hope Voevoda to comes back. I'd love to see his myth put to the test. As I've said before, I doubt he does return. He's got nothing to gain and everything to lose. If it's six matches, you'll see Devon playing with Alexey much like he did with Pushkar. Wait!!! Wasn't he supposed to get smashed in that match also??? Too strong, too fast... yadda yadda yadda... nothing new

Haters gonna hate..........People should be happy that a guy like Devon came..I love John but it gets kind of boring watching john kill everyone for 25 years LoL and its not like there are thousands of awesome guys in NA its been John smashing the same 10 guys till Travis showed up. New young blood is good for the sport.

pull ups and flag poles don't win supermatches. That is true John. I don't hate on Devon. I think Devon is an awesome puller and I love watching him armwrestle. Im a huge fan. He is the current best. Although I think Timmy had him pretty good but he still won that supermatch within the set rules so no doubt he is the CURRENT man to beat. With all that said I hope he is recovering from the surgery good and is able to get back in action fairly soon and be at or better than the level he was at. I think a very healthy Devon would have a good shot at beating Voevoda an I would love to see it. What I wanna see though is him vs Arsen or him vs Pushkar right or him vs Denis right. I think he would get Denis easier than the other two and I think he has a very good chance at beating the other two but I personally wouldn't be able to bet money on the match even though I would be picking Devon to win. @ Dante- The thing about John was that it wasn't the same 10 guys. He has pulled almost literally everyone and beat them including Devon. The only one he doesn't have a win on is Alexey as far as I know. He also pulled Arsen, Pushkar, Denis, etc.... Devon has yet to pull those guys. I think Devon's match with John when John was hurt is not a good gauge to use to compare him to those other guys. Pushkar did beat Tim pretty good whereas Tim almost beat Devon. I would love to see the right handed matchups and Devon will remain the man in my mind until someone proves otherwise. I just wanna see him hit up a supermatch with one of those 3 big names he hasn't pulled. I know Denis turned down a match probably because he KNOWS that Devon would manhandle him. The other two are very interesting matchups though in my mind.
