Yet sadly it was the least supported of the 3 this year. Location Location Location! ONE PLACE ONE LOCATION ONE NATIONALS. IF IT WERE TREATED WITH PRESTIGE LIKE IT DESRVES? IT'D BE A 3-4 DAY LONG EVENT.....

I only used gene as a example because he is the only person I know of who pulled heavy wt at nats besides brooks..hopefully you're on your medicine gene I didn't mean anything by it.. Ur point was taken bro.. no hard feelings here.. it sucked that there was only me and him in the left handed class.. but on the other hand the dude is a power house and I got to pull him at 100%.. but yes I wish it was a bigger turn out..

My god, every country has ONE Nat, and it qualifies them to go to WAF! So all others r mute... Regional Nats? Really, Superman?..
I am sure USAAs, which is held at Hartford Europa, is cause they have a great deal with the Europa people. Those that promote the other Nats hold it at venues where they also have relationships. Hence, it saves $
Y do U think there had never been a Na in the NYC area? $
Eu Claire, or Madison Wis? Maybe because it costs more in Madison. don t know just speculating.
Nats, like TK said, should be centrally located, or Vegas, make it a big 3-4 day event, held along with other STRENGTH SPORTS..
ALL WISH FULL THINKING.
As long as "some" r happy becoming "Nat champion" either pulling 1or 2 people or going uncontested, jus to say they Nat Champions, when the barely win a st title, u will always have 3 or more Nats in this Country.

^^^^^^ex..lets see, go to Unifieds and run into those who want to go to Worlds, and may be better, or go too other Nat, where they hope the comp MAY NOT be as tough, to win, to call themselves Nat Champion...

Hmmmm.......and judging by the few that voted so far, although most agree one national championship is the way to go, we can't decide which nationals should be the only nationals.

Location is a huge part of why people go or don't go to the 3 we have now. Sure I would like to have just one Nats. only makes sence to have a real deal one. Does need to be centrally located. Not Vegas or Atlanta every year. Or at least east one year and west the next and one in the central part. I surely hope in 2015 the Unified is east since the Worlds is west. Would suck if both was west! Am I scared to go west? HELL no! Been there and did well.

This is simple, UAL doesn't plan on holding so called "Nationals" we will Host the one and only "Nationals" that's recognized by WAF. We are a league that plans on building UAL Titles and events that lead up to Titles being challenged at any given time. We will hold events as often as possible. If you want to attend a tournament great attend, win a metal! If you want the win a few times and build a name in the UAL so you get a shot at an Ultimate Match Up even better, then once you've proven who you are by winning a UMU you may get a chance at a Title and be crowned the UAL World Champion and get a Belt and possible a Ring. At that point you should be getting paid sponsors and some TV publicity based on what we have coming up!
Our goal is to take the route of the UFC and give Pullers a fair shake at being paid World class "Athletes", those that simply want to Pull for fun and have no aspirations to become a world champion will still be able to have a good time at our "Farming" events...

I've ask before, and I'll ask again. For everyone wanting USAF Unifieds as the one National Championship, where were you this year, if you want it as the ONE nationals then show up and support it, even if you don't wanna go to Worlds it's still a National title. I've traveled all over this country to compete, that's what we as AWers do. If your not showing up to compete, then don't keep talking about how diluted they all are, many times it's not the quantity that matters, it's the quality. I see what you're saying Mike. Problem is that if it were not for that "BIG VEGAS" payday tournament that happened on the same weekend of the USAF you'd have more pullers this year. I assure you being that WAF will be in the US in 2015, USAF will be loaded once again (JMO)

On the other hand most of the pullers that went to the NJ event would have come to the USAA National. Even so we had a bigger turn out at the USAA National than the Unified

Cash is King
It will all be history once a promoter promotes a certain way for the consumer to pay us the armwrestling community.
And after my first nationals with 4 fouls/ elbow slides I'm out of the tournament in 5 min I don't see much value to it anymore, not that I'm bitter its just a little off of the balance I like. Much respect to the guys/ladies that won and didn't foul out.
Simply, IMO the promoters, entrepreneurs basically the ones coming up the buisness plans of how they will run everything getssucked into ONLY the product and become to worn out because of it to have a good vision on what the consumer will pay for. I know I have but I keep trying to be less consumed with the drama so TAA can keep growing.
I have a lot of respect how Mr Drenk does buisness and thank you sir for standing up for us.
If I could help or suggest anything I would stay focused on deriving emotion out of the consumer. Whoot whoo is pretty cool and I've thought about doing Yip Yip Yuuuuu with some overalls on in the south but I think there might be other ways to add to our value once thouse resources ran out.
If your at a bar and your buddy gets called out to armwrestle you immediately have been derived emotion out of fromsomething else than what you have going on.
This fall at the nashville predators TAA and myself will put on a tournament before the game and during the intermission we will set up our tables were the band plays in the stadium. The final two guys from the tournament will have on different hockey jersey. One a predaors guy stading bythe table and the other guy in the other teams jersey sitting with the crowd. The annoucer will say we got a predators fan that will walk out and challenge a guy from the other team to a arm wrestling match. First he will walk to me and ill say no but the second guy will say yes.
They will pull but most importantly the plan derived emotion out of the audience and the have a emotional connection to what the hell is going on YIP YOOO might have more value then. Lol
I'll have Tennessee ArmWrestling Association sponser by GulleyGrip on the side of the table. Hopefully the next time the crowd watch someone arm wrestle they say go check out them TAA guys at Tennesseearmwrestling.com or better yet check out the ranking at the predators website.
Hopefully it will work. But don't focus on what isn't working. Focus on deriving emotion out of others not each other. Might be a little boring until we find away to get the ball rolling.
Take it for what its worth.
All this work isn't for nothing because in the state of Tennessee ill have some Great friends to pull with very close for a long time.
Thank you David Owens for getting us started.

Hey Jason, what is this comment suppose to mean? "And after my first nationals with 4 fouls/ elbow slides I'm out of the tournament in 5 min I don't see much value to it anymore, not that I'm bitter its just a little off of the balance I like." What value to it don't you see? Just wondering, do you foul in practice? If you foul on AAA elbow pads that much you wouldn't have a chance at Unifieds or WAF worlds.

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW A SECOND NATIONALS CAME ABOUT? DID AAA'S MISS A YEAR OR SOMETHING?
MAYBE I'M MISSING SOMETHING? CAN ANY OF THE OLD TIMERS FILL ME IN?
BECAUSE? IF THERE WAS ONE ALREADY? HOW DID THERE BECOME A SECOND.
MAYBE THATS WHERE THE PROBLEM IN THIS SPORT BEGINS?
WHERE DID THE CANCER START?
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE EXPLANATION.
T/K
