Karen, after prayer i must respond with this statement. As the lord has laid it upon my heart to. Recently we had a concersation to let our differences be water under the bridge. And durring the course of this conversation i have let bitterness build up in my heart towards you. And that isnt what i want and that isnt gods will.....yes i stand firm on my beliefs and always will......call me an extremists all you like, Jesus was an extremist, you cant read the gospels and conclude that he wasnt. But at the same time in his extremity his stern words were spoken with love and grace. Usually my words are spoken with that love and grace, but you really get under my skin sometimes. And i apologize that i get so irritated with you.
I realize i come on strong at times, and for that i do not and cannot apologize for. But i do apologize for letting anger come up as you guys test my faith.
With the love of Christ Ryan

I have not weighed in on this subject, but I do want to say this. The woman who started the Roe v. Wade controversy is now a christian active in the pro life movement. This all came about when a pastor came to a pro choice convention, not with words of concemnation or hatred but with these " God believes in the right to choice, He just hopes you will choose life and not death". The woman broke down and admitted for the first time in her life how the fact that abortion had emotionally scarred her because deep inside she knew she had taken a life. I have ministered to many people about this issue, and believe me it is a difficult one. Without exception I say this, to a man and woman who lost their unborn child was it just a child or a fetus. I have NEVER had one no matter what their previous opinion say it was just a fetus. In my opinion, and it may not be worth much doing away with abortion not only protects unborn children, but their mothers from a lifetime of guilt. Even in case of a rape, and I know this is contentious, while there is shame in being raped that is something that is not ones fault and out of ones control. To choose to take a life is an entirely different issue, and I can tell you this from giving counsel to people on very difficult issues. You may choose to disagree with me, and that's OK, but I would be remiss if I didn't share my experiences with you

One of my favorite bumper stickers: If it's not a baby, you are not pregnant!

John,
You've made wise points on here....
I've never said i agreed with Abortion as a whole...but simply to be used wisely..not for corruption..
back to Chris G's point
if a 12 year old girl is raped and gets pregnant...is it fair she become a mother so young? thats my issue.....
i'm not talking about some girl who didn't protect herself ...i was talking rape...
it's a brutal crime....and there should be no trail of it left behind.
i've had too many experiences with this issue....
rape should leave no trail my friend.
JMO on that..i just don't think abortion should be done away with completely.
Engin,
rapes happen everyday every minute...a small % of them are actually reported...mostly through fear for their lives... it's true there is something the DR's can give a woman...it's like a day after thing..i'm not completely educated on that...but i'm sure some women are too embareassed and scared..and then 1 month later she finds out she's pregnant. she should have the right to decide to keep the baby or not...
as long as she comes correct with God??
people who are in line for the Death Penalty are given a chance to accept God and Jesus before they get fried or injected?
True?
once again Ryan i say this let God do his Job....
Just because i don't bebleive in things doesn't mean i hate people who love God.....I've always said it's a good thing when it isn't abused (Jesus Freaks)....lol

Everyone has there own takes on this topic, but has anyone of us ever had to handle this face to face or just watching and learning from Jerry Springer and Oprah show with Dr. Phil on the side. Anyone?

Ryan,
does that baby deserve the death penalty for another mans crime?
is it fair that that baby has to die? no it's not fair...is it fair that kid will be born from a savage crime?..this will chase him throughout life...
children should born under choice not force..eh?
Carey,
Everyone has there own takes on this topic, but has anyone of us ever had to handle this face to face or just watching and learning from Jerry Springer and Oprah show with Dr. Phil on the side. Anyone?
I've unfortunetly been a part of a few situations....a friend of mine was raped and beaten and she cam up pregnant...she miscarried on the same day we were heading for the Abrotion...her stress level was off the charts...the guy only got 2 years...right back on the street to do it again...to an under age girl.....i was her only friend who hadn't passed "JUDGEMENT" on her....i thought it was brave and "THE RIGHT THING" to do.
i also have a friend who was a rape baby.....through relation.....she's little kooky..but overall she's ok....she just hates the father with all her being.

My girlfriend is a volunteer at a crisis pregnancy center of which her aunt is the founder and her mom is the Support Director of the center. She teaches classes, counsels, and handles the finances, etc. She leads counseling meeting to help women who have gone through withthe abortion and are having a hard time dealing with it. she counsels people who are considering abortion. this is all they do is deal with this stuff.
I know several people that have been through this situation.
Todd, shouldnt that child have a choice on whether or not it decides to live life that way?
Your friends mom chose life......otherwise you wouldnt have a friend
