MY SELF,
Prime vs Prime
Tyson was much too aggressive and strong for Ali....Ali was graceful thats for sure...but his dancing would have gotten his head knocked off....I say Tyson in 4 rds....TKO.....
and my opinion of this is not based on draft dodging or Rape criminal just plain boxing fact.

Do you all not remember the Tyson vs Buster Douglas fight.
I personally think Buster got lucky but his Stick and Move style and keeping Tyson at his reach is what won him that fight.
Ali made Douglas look like a amatuer at the Stick and Move style.
Ali would win.

They would need to make sure Tyson didn't miss lunch or Ali might have lost a body part!

Do you all not remember the Tyson vs Buster Douglas fight.
If you want to get technical...if you really watched the fight Tyson knocked Buster down for 12 seconds.around round 3 or 4 ..the refs failed on the 10 count ....that ref changed boxing history.....anyone has this fight on video watch it..& you'll see Tyson really won that fight.

C'mon Todd - you don't really believe that now do you? Watch the knockdown again. Douglas could have gotten up at 4, he pounds his fist to the ground as though saying - Geez, I can't believe I got so careless. It was a flash knockdown - he was stunned, but not close to being knocked out. The ref didn't change boxing history - Tyson, his refusal to train, become a criminal and fire his trainer changed history.

Good matchup prime for prime. A classic boxer vs brawler mix! Ali would probably been able to outlast Tyson's opening slugfest & take him out in the later rounds.... but unlike back in the days of Ali's prime, todays refs wouldn't allow Ali to play the rope a dope game without callin the fight! But.... two Don King fighters in the ring ..... who knows!!

He sliped punches to get inside and then threw fast short punches on the inside. His defensive skills started to fade after he fired Rooney who learned from Cuss.

In the gym, Tyson brutalizes Ali.
In Vegas at Ceasar's Palace, after six months of promotion, press conferences, the weigh in, and Ali's Taunts, Tyson's mind betrays him after he doesn't stop Ali early.
Ali by TKO around the 9th, or Tyson quits. Ali could not have KO'd Tyson.
I agree with Mark about Tyson's defense. He had excellent defense and was rarely hit until he got rid of Rooney, then tried to be a one punch fighter.

I just think Tyson would have beat Ali to death. Cause Tyson didn't throw to wildly he used precision punches that were loaded with power. An the way Ali danced around in circles I believe would have got his dome rocked more than once.

Bill,
you're not being real here...watch that fight again....i watched it live as a Tyson Fan and beleive me...Buster was on the ground much longer than 10 seconds.....watch it again and see if you can say the same...I will admit Tyson wasn't prepared for that fight as he should have ...but he still knocked buster down and out.....

George Forman was the Mike Tyson of that day. While Tyson knocked out guys like Sterling Benjamin in the first round, Big George did it to the likes of Joe Frazier. Ali would win, no doubt in my mind. Tyson would punch himself out early and like Bob said, stick and move would finally either put Tyson in LA LA land somewhere around the ninth or Ali would take a unanimous decision. Just my opinion.
