Gary you would be a great rep to organize one of the many organizations we have.. get it advertised and tightened up so it not only works but is effective in bringing us together..

if identifying the problem was so easy...how come no one talked about it before. all I can do is continue to do what I am doing. your plans sound great.. I am sure you will get the support you need.. as for why has no one mentioned it before.. Who has the ability to reach masses better than someone in media production? I have seen the problem a couple years ago when my brother started being unstoppable.. (he took second place his second tournament and since age 15 has never been beaten in any junior tournament in the U.S. to date) I as many people do not know the people that one would need to help promote the sport and inject new ideas and avenues to build up the sport and have it recognized ...

Identifying the problem is the easiest part, the hard part is coming up with the solution and means to execute it, again , (you are in a better position than most by knowing who's who) what if any plan of action do you have to solve the problem ?

Mr Blevins you make ALOT of great points, I see that all of the time and we used to exploit my brothers talent, Go to the bowling ally and say hey who thinks they can beat this 16/yo in armwrestling, he beat everyone and then we tell them hey , you want to learn? We have gotten a few people to come to practices for awhile, The question always comes up, Can you make money at it? and the usual answer is not really... Better organization than puts on money tournaments.. (generated by memberships and entry fees) events become an annual thing and it builds from there, they get bigger and more publicised.. I know Heartland Armwrestling ( www.armwrestle.com ) has done an excellent job of keeping local tournaments going every year.. alot of hard work with little gain..

Ok so not all of them share the vision of making something out of the sport.. there has to be one group that wants to.. They should be the ones that lead the way... Just like racign tehre are severl groups you can compete with but it comes down to ONE major recognized organization that everyone says if you are not apart of it then you are not a true competitor.... which one wants to be that organization?

I get Gary's idea of having all the organizations in America uniting to make one HUGE organization that promotes our sport but I just don't think the others share that vision. Who are the others? Thats the one thing I have been seeing alot of everywhere, nobody says Hey I am in charge of anything.. Just like who is WAF,

So the main idea is to raise money and get it to the right people to promote the sport...
Who is in charge of the organization we have now?
What are they doing to move to a bigger level?
Here is an idea, with alot of activities you have to pay a yearly membership to be able to compete at events.. example: flat track racing , not a huge crowd draw, but alot of people still race and we pay a yearly membership fee to be licensed with AMA.. people pay because they want to play.. (a great way to generate revenue and find out who wants to be there and who doesn't) Similar to Gary's be a member of ArmTV to pull at ROTN. You want to pulll Nationals you should be a member of the organization.. same with local sanctioned tournies,
Shouldn't this organization have regional representatives that oversee tournaments, now these representatives collect membership fees and make sure it gets to the right place to HELP the sport and NOT pad pockets..

Ok, here goes,, Gary wants everyone to PUSH memberships for ARMTV, to start generating MONEY. - What are the intentions for this extra revenue? (you mention bigger money tournaments, FILA, advertising)
You state that ARMTV is the only consistant way to unite Arm Wrestling, - Can't say it isn't but is it the best way?
What exactly are you offering up to the sport? Are you wanting to be the go to guy, spoke person, media voice for the sport on a larger level?
You keep mentioning "we" are going to be doing these things (the people who care) -What are these things and are there names to correspond with the we's
You mention pulling John as a major film, -Alot of people in the community will be waiting for it, Over the Top is STILL referenced by the "don't know's" when you mention arm wrestling..
You talk about getting the balance of power transfered.. -Is there a plan of action?
What is it.....
Those are the questions I would like answered....
