Jerry, regardless of your achievements and statuses and what not, I didnt even bother to search any deeper, this was one of like three against Travis and prolly the best you did against him, the others were far worse, I will pull travis soon enough and I will beat him (Left handed) maybe not righty but Lefthanded he's been lookin and askin for me, when he says somewhere out there , there's gotta be someone...He's talkin about me, he just dont know it yet- I Do Good luck with that.

I think all eyes should be on lattimer left handed.. If he is healthy and in top form then I believe he should be #2..just saying.. I'm not anywhere near top form. Carpal tunnel has killed both of my hands.

I'd go with Devon every time. In a best of 5 or 6, he will win. Travis might win 1 or 2. Devon is both stronger and smarter.

The tournament I was at today was absolutely loaded with novice pullers. I'd say they typically get 70 total entries or so, today there was something like 52 just in the novice class.
A lot of the new pullers were talking about GOA. Its definitely bringing in people.

This is tempting as it's only slightly over an hour from me. I would be in the 176-198 weight class. I would really like to meet up & train with someone in my area first. Contact Jim Bryan, he holds practice every Sunday at his house. He is near Medford area off route 70 and right off the turnpike.

It was exactly what I expected to see. Minus the seriously bogus "fight", it was ok. I wan't a fan of the old warehouse for the match up, but it plays well on TV. I did like that they made the $$$ sound normal, $250 per match. I was expecting some really bogus numbers to be thrown around.
FWIW on the guys that I have seen or pulled a lot---Tom Nelson acted just like he usually does, Seliaris was definitely being himself. Bigwood was just being himself too. That was nice to see.
I'm 50/50 on the thing----its a cool show and its cool to see people I know on screen, but I'm not sure yet if its doing the sport any favors.

to Rob's point, there is something very different about armwrestling. If any ten blowhards walked into the gym and saw Lattimer benching, not one would entertain the thought of getting bent out of shape over it. if anybody said, "hey, jump up under that when he gets up and pump a few out" every one if them would say "are you freaking crazy?! i cant even spot that guy!" then they'd all laugh because it's true and there's no denying it. but to lose at armwrestling is a soul crushing experience for some reason. i think it really comes down to the fact that in other sports somebody else won. in this sport, you got BEATEN. Lots of truth in that last line. Losing is one thing, getting beaten 1 on 1 is a whole different animal.

I prefer medals. Easier to transport and display than trophies.

In my opinion Marcio is by far the best left handed UAL puller. I don't know Jonathan, I am sure he is a good beginner otherwise the match would not happen. I know Mike had a very serious injury in the not so distant past. That being said, he has since been tested by - in my opinion - a very solid puller in Chandler. It would suprise me to see anything other than 3-0, maybe 3-1 with the wake up call... Yup----and I don't see Mike entering a match where he feels he will be over his head. He's not the type who would set himself up for a loss.

Thanks Shawn and Robert. very encouraging hahaha. MT said that its gonna be a good match. Robert saw us pulling and put together this SM due to its obvious potential to be a great match. Do you think Robert wants some chump match-up? Lets say I win... will it still be all a joke? or will you guys still just sit here and talk sh** and downgrade MT left handed talent level instead of giving me the props I would deserve? You win I'll give you major props. But I do know that Michael Todd does not enter matches expecting to lose, so you should keep that in mind. Not saying you're a chump in any way, but I haven't seen your name in the win column over anybody at that level.

The only puller that wants a FAIR grip as described abave is the one who thinks they have a superior hand. Therefore not being fair. What if a hooker came on hear and said a FAIR grip was to start in a hook grip. OR for us old timers. What is Jason Vale said a FAIR grip was to start in the straps. ALL matches should be IN REFS GRIP..thats FAIR ALL matches should be TOP ROLL........thats FAIR ALL matches should be a HOOK...........thats FAIR ALL matches should be in STRAPS........thats FAIR Getting a grip and knowing how to get an advantage is called TECHNIQUE. Just like a Top roll, which used to be illegal. Learn how to get a grip What he said!!!!!
