Depends on the compatibility of each individual. I don't get along with some religious people because they ride that "religious" train. Relationship (with God) over religion

"Relationship (with God) over religion" is riding the religious train? or "Relationship (with God) over religion" is what you prefer?

Religion is mans way to get to god amd it won't work.
God has established a means through Christ to have a relationship with him. And only through that means is it possible to have direct communion with God.

What do you mean? Is religious same as religion? Can a non-religion person be a religious person? If a person supports some religion does that mean he/she is automatically a religious person?

Any other "faith" is a religion of do's and don'ts.
Christianity is a faith founded relationship with the Father.
The difference.....
Religion- "in order to be a good (insert religion here) I must do this and don't do that"
Relationship- "BECAUSE I am what I am, and did what I did, and do what I do. I must place my faith in Christ and his sacrifice for that sin so that I can have a relationship with the Father"

I accept your assessment. At the same time I wonder if it's possible to accept ones imperfection and forgive one self, correct ones actions and not bother Christ all the time? And at the same time I acknowledge that past negative actions can be so weighty one might need some help. From Christ?

You can forgive yourself.... But what good would it do? Other than give a measure of peace in your mind. It won't bring you closer to God.
God ordained a prescribed order for our salvation and our relationship with him. That is solely through faith in what Christ did at the cross.
I'm more concerned with Gods forgiveness than mans forgiveness or self forgiveness.

I mean someone who is all in all a good person but just has no religion nore do they believe in god or the worth of a bible. I can relate to that. And to answer your question: No I don't.

I mean someone who is all in all a good person but just has no religion nore do they believe in god or the worth of a bible. How can one determine he is a "all in all good person" if he has no standard in which to compare himself to?

I just had that discussion with an old fart at work yesterday. Lol
He tells me it's totally sick and wring to fight dogs in a ring..... But perfectly ok to murder unborn children because of a series of what ifs.....
That's the definition of stupidity

How can one determine he is a "all in all good person" if he has no standard in which to compare himself to? Why do you need a standard from a book to determine a person's goodness? Use common HUMAN sense maybe? Then again, this could start a long debate on human morality and whether or not it's learned or given at birth. ;D
