Johnny I can't seem to find the post where you referenced the crescent moon. What do you think is the connection from our study here to Islam? ? I honestly haven't a clue??? Haven't researched it's effects on anything just thought about the Mormon thing because I briefly was reading a site on the possible effects on the religions. Not sure about the crescent moon. Maybe in a translation it mentioned it or something??? The effects on the Mormon faith are because supposedly Joseph Smith had divine knowledge of the scriptures and such and he translated it wrong too, still doing my research haven't finished so no calls on anything. My buddy Brad who is a devout Mormon is studying up on it with me now. He ask me what I thought about if Joseph Smith had actually talked to Satan who disguised himself as and angel of light and I said well thats not up to me to make a decision on for you. You will just have to research with me like I am having to do. Got me back to reading my Bible again though. Me and Brad had a good discussion yesterday that lasted for about 8 hrs haha. From what I understand of his beliefs that he has explained is that they worship Jesus and accept him as the Lord and saviour and the only way to heaven. He was giving me a rundown on the beliefs of modern day prophets and such. Im actually probably going to study up on Mormonism for awhile to see what the belief systems in place there are. Then maybe jump and try to do a serious study on Islam. Learned a lot in World Religions at college this last semester, interesting stuff.

That's awesome that he's questioning that. The bible teaches us to question all things and hold on to what is good.
Basically God says test me and know I am true.

He is like me and test faith. Brad is a good guy. He didn't say he was going to walk away from his faith by any means just posed a what if question and asked my opinion.

blowthetrumpet.org/WhoseNameisLucifer.htm another viewpoint but seems inaccurate if the root word halal is positive and negative when in Isaiah 14:12 it seems to me that the prophecy is mocking the king Nebby because he is a boastful person? Any discussion??? very very mixed reviews on this.

But strangely enough when I read the story of nebby regardless that he was a heathen king and all I get the tone that the bible actually shows a sort of respect or honor towards nebby.
Kinda like mike Tyson.... He's and idiot and seriously brain damaged. He's done bad things that put him in prison but you wouldn't deny him the respect of being one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Possibly because Daniel was pretty close with nebby.

I can see that. It just comes off as mocking him showing him he is and idiot for thinking he could be and equal to God to me. I can see it the other way too though.

Isaiah 14 is a victory taunt against the Babylonian king, mocking him for his arrogance.
