Simon, the best was the guy on the radio over here yesterday who was voting for john f. kerry, as he calls himself, and edwards because they have good hair. Same types of reasons why the "soccer moms " voted for clinton. ITS NAUSEATING!!!!! NO CLUE! Thats good old Americans for you!

Christian just like every senior class presidential election, the pretty girl got elected at my school, in hindsight I should have ran, then taken the money we collected over the years and invested it in tech stocks, getting out before the crash of course, me and all of the 75 kids in my class would be on easy street right now, well about 3/4th of them would have already pissed it away, but hey they had a chance. No she wanted a building to allow the cheerleaders and flag team to have dressing rooms since the locker rooms were always taken by the two competing teams.
It really is scary how things work now a days, and it will only get worse, misinformation, manipulation and the inability to find the truth compounds complacency which in turns allows for more misinformation.
Since you brought up Mr. Kerry does he scare the hell out of anyone else? (Sorry Kerry fans) This guy has done everything in his power to become the “Reverse Flash” of George Bush, he probably considered coming out as a gay devil worshiper to complete the deal but the demographics did not support doing so. Can’t these people just be who they are? I might like him if I had any idea who he really was. The guy is changing faster than Rebecca Romaine Stamos’s character in the X Men, whatever Bush says he stands for the contrary, they are both wealthy elitist how different could they really be?

I understand Christian, and I really do not mean to take a shot at people that like Kerry, he just concerns me. He seems as though he is going to try so hard to please the Bush haters that he will continue to function to the contrary to retain their favor, whether it hurts us or not, remember he still wants to be re elected next term.

Christian, your right I would like to see the entire 7 minutes. As an editor I do believe that you can change the entire perspective on something with some creative editing. But this is exactly why I am not a political person. I want to believe in my heart that everyone says what they mean and does what they say. so now after any sort of debate I become completely confused because I don't know who to believe. WHO IS BULLcrapE ING WHO? Should I just not vote? Does my vote even count? Who really elects Presidents anyway? The People? Confused I could be wrong. This thread is gone off. Cool

Everybody is BS’ing everybody. Those are all valid questions I am not sure of the answers. In the movie Brewster’s Millions he asked people to vote for “none of the above”
The election process…..wow scary, let me tell you a little story, (I should get my status on this board moved up by the word, Keith Michel warned you guys about giving me a place to run)
Many many elections ago I was a wide eyed young man in awe of the process watching the Democratic nomination voting on TV. They use the state by state delegate votes for their party to formalize this decision after the primaries are already done; for the most part it is just a formality. To make this short, after the majority of the voting, candidate “A” was in the lead, “B” was a close second and “C” was pretty far behind, they came to the point where they were going to formally cast the delegate votes from candidate “C’s” home state, at that point “C” was mathematically eliminated from winning so the small group of people empowered with doing so decided they would rather have “B” win than “A” and since they knew how each of the remaining states was going to vote they knew their vote mattered to the outcome, so they voted for “B” instead of “C”, “C” being the candidate that their state had selected previously, because of this change “B” ended up winning, if they would have voted for “C” as their state had voted, “A” would have won, so their piddly little delegates changed who the democrats were going to send up as their candidate. From that moment on I knew the entire process was suspect.

Thanks Big guy, I will.
Simon...forget BS'ing...lets put them on the table and have them grip up.
There is no room for BS on the table. Lets add that to the electoral process.

Ok here is a little reflection after investigation into the latest Moore Movie.
In no particular order:
Movie: Shows a Bush interview from his ranch in Texas where he is asked shouldn't he be in DC? This was presented as post 911. His answer was I m working from here and I can do most of it via fax machine etc.
Fact: This interview was conducted in the summer of 2001 well before 911. The question was posed by Judy Dodd in response to the democratic complaints about GW not spending enough time in DC.
Movie: States that GW spent 42% of his 1st 8 months on vacation.
Fact: GW spent 42% of his first 8 months away from DC. This should not be thought of as a vacation. As we all know the President can do every bit of work from anywhere on the globe. The only reason that he needs to be in DC is for show. He can get as much done with todays technology on Airforce One or his Texas Ranch as he can in the Oval Office. This was what he seemed to be trying to convey to the reporter but MM spun it and set it at a date that was fictional for effect. (Post 911).
Movie: Shows US forces raiding a poor innocent families home on Christmas Eve. It shows the mother crying "Why are you here? My son is a student! He has done nothing!
Fact: If you watch closely at the end of the clip they catch the target upstairs in the home. The target was an Iraqi who killed 3 Marines earlier in the afternoon in an ambush and was tracked to the home. During the clip MM leads you to feel almost hatred to how our forces barged into a home on Christmas eve but the fact is we captured a murder without using any violence against the people who harbored him.
Movie: Shows links between the Bush Familyand the Saudi Royal Family. After the link is made with the audience MM states that not only is Osama a Saudi but so was 15 out of the 19 highJackers.
Fact: Osama was banished from Saudi Arabia and so were each and every Saudi Highjacker. (This is why they lived and operated out of Afganistan) There is never a mention that on Clinton's watch (8 years) Osama continually struck US targets and nothing was ever done to stop him. Bush was only in 8 months. Clinton had 8 years.
Just a few..If you need more I can keep going but my fingers are tired ;D

Chris, very nice detective work! Usually one has to watch a movie again to catch what was missed the first go around...at least I do Christian, it is good to see the intensity in your words to convey your message clearly. Simon, I enjoy reading your posts, they show you not being just one sided, but instead fair for both sides. BTW, have you checked your messages lately? James, you must be part of another board that registers your post status. Wow! ;D No, seriously, I also enjoying reading your posts for the exact same reason I gave Simon. Gary, I went to armtv and nothing loaded up. It says it is under construction.

Allen, There is a ton more in this movie. Granted George Bush is not the brightest republican in the roost and some of what the movie states about business dealings are true. No one can say that a family as powerful as the Bush family is without some level of corruption. As we can see with the Kennedy family also. If Moore wants to dig up true dirt it would be very easy. Just look back at the S&L scandal and the connection with the Bush family. He chose instead to play on poor families of killed soldiers and the faithful following of uninformed US viewers.
We all need to listen to the 1960's tune..Theres something happening here...What it is ain't exactly clear...
We are at war and like it or not we have our family members in harms way. This is why I despise Moore. Through his movie he not only tries to get us to hate Bush...He also tries to get us to hate our military. He spends about 3 minutes of the movie acting like the good guy trying to get congressmen to sign up their kids to go serve but that is just a facade to get us forgetting the true message he is hammering home for the other 2 1/2 hours. It is not just an anti Bush message but it is anti American one. Keep in mind this movie is not just being shown in the U.S.! Moore is spreading this message all over the world.
Being a vet I consider that treason.
Again the title "Michael Moore hates America". Can't wait to see it.

politics, wars, Saddam,Bush,Kerry...all ugly words....when we straighten out our own house, only then can we truly help others... if we keep sticking our nose in someone elses business, it will eventually get lopped off. sometimes it`s better to put on a pair of slippers, than it is to try and carpet the whole world...
