I have no problem with the US taking care of serious issues abroad, first we should put more effort into our own domestic issues but after that if we want to play world police then go do it, but stop walking into these situations like the armed peace corp, this is how so many US troops get killed, forcing them to endure life threatening danger that they cannot properly respond to because we are trying to be politically correct and offend as few people as possible, all at the expense of our troops saftey.

Chris...all impressive points. If we were playing poker this would be the point I would probably fold...knowing that I def. don't know enough of the facts to truly get into a debate. However I do believe that I was under the impression Bush's comments( about not being in DC) were made PRE 9/11. As long as a movie goer you keep in mind that this is propaganda and one sided you can pick the truth out of the muck. I feel that the questions now arising on our true intentions invading Iraq....tied in with the innocent women and children killed....and topped off with the prison scandals have done more to harm our reputation as a country than a movie ever could. Just how many terrorists have been born again or inspired to hurt Americans in the last couple of years based on our actions. I am truly scared to think of that. Also the movie stated that Bush was notified just one month prior to 9/11 that Saudis were in Florida learning how to fly planes (...did he do any golfing during this time period?) Also the Secretary of Defense? testified to the fact that John Ashcroft said he didn't want to hear any more about terrorism. You mentioned that Osama had been kicked out of Saudi. (This is true) But in the movie they backed that point up by showing the President of the Saudi's embassy (i think that was his title) interview on TV stating "it is a well known misconception that Osama doesn't talk with his family anymore BUT is quite the opposite" Moore was trying to show that there was enough evidence to interview atleast the family members of the Binladens. My only points for the above are that... I didn't know much about Moore before this movie but I didn't get the opinion that he is Anti American. He may have a dislike for the military in general but he had compassion for the troops who are dying without a proper cause. Chris- How did you know that they were capturing a criminal on Christmas Eve? I saw the movie twice and there is no mention of any of that. Which I realize is your point but how did you get that much detailed information? Allen- ARM TV is the name of our company but our website is www.armwrestling.tv or www.armwrestlingtv.com or armwrestling.com all of the above will get you there armtv.com is actually an armemian TV station. The name was unavailable. It has been fun.

One point I would like to make that would be hard to debate.... I think...is that Americans in general are not informed enough... I dont know if they dont want to know... if they would not understand... or are just to lazy to read between the lines or do the research to get the truth... One thing that I give Moore's movie credit for is that I do not know enough about what is going on and I will change that ... I am always impressed with Simon's remarks as well as Mr Colletti... Christian and I have spoken many times I was allready aware of his intelligence. I consider myself intelligent I am self made with two large Goodyear Dealerships and 20 employee's but when I saw the Movie and subsiquently followed this string I realized that I did not do my civic duty to know enough about what is going on in my own country I wonder how many people know even less than I do....Very dangerous Christopher Myers even if people hate Moore or his movie but become more aware .... it would still be a good thing I think

Chris, Where are you from? I think Steve Myers owns a Goodyear Dealership also. You are an exception to the rule and that is why MM's agenda will be fulfilled. The fear is that not only are Americans not informed and not willing to learn but so is most of the World. I fear for our soldiers everyday. It's hard hearing every day about our brave men and women dying and feeling that it was for wrong reasons. I think that if MM's accusations had any merit then the Dem's would be all over it. Then again with MM out there they may not need to be...

Mr Colletti, only called you that, as Chris would confuse other readers I am from New York and I am not related to anyone who owns a Goodyear I read in one of your posts you served in the military. My father was in the military also... he was a helicoptor pilot... he severd in Vietnam and he dragged us all over the world I lived in the middle east for two and a half years as well as other places. when I came home I got my first lesson in propaganda. I will give you the details if you want Christopher Myers

Mr. Myers, Yes I served in the Military. It is interesting to see how any comparison of this war to Vietnam gets shut off quicker than a T.V. channel accidently turned to a religious program. You don't have to look hard to see the similarities. Your experience proobably gives you a sixth sense to alot of what is going on today.

What are the similarities between Vietnam and this war in Iraq? First AND most important difference is the reasons why we were in Vietnam and why we are in Iraq. That alone shows there are no similarities. NOW if you want to say there MIGHT be similarities on how we MIGHT be fighting the war in Iraq and how we fought (with or hands tied, do to the media and politics ) in Vietnam, I might tend to agree.

THough it is hard to justify war, it is a lot easier to justify the military action going on in Iraq right now than it is to justify Vietnam. Don't you think?
