Meaning what? Going into Vietnam to try to stop the North Vietnamese from over taking the South and oppressing them into Communism was wrong? Or was it the way we fought it and pulled out to let the South fend for themselves, because of pressure to get out from the media, politicians and from the " dirtbag " generation. BTW thanks to Kennedy for getting us into that conflict. OH wait, that couldn't be right JFK did nothing wrong. He was one of the greatest Presidents we ever had...GAG

I am from an eastern block country, and I could tell all of you that voting is one of the most important rights that a human being could have...In Romania, which is where I was born, everbody was forced to vote for the Communist Party Leader, which was Nicolae Ceausescu...The public despised him, but underground only, not in the media...Nobody was dearing enough to speak out in the public arena...He was the president for about 30 years....He would have anyone incarcerated that in any way shape or form voiced an opposition to him.... All of you who don't vote don't know how important this constitutional right is !!! Just go live in any of the arab countries in the Middle East and you will clearly see how important your right to vote becomes...
Chris Myers, I am disappointed in your comments on our President Bush !!! In my opinion, President Bush is the greatest man for the job, when it comes to defending our country against terrorism...If it were up to Gore, we would still be waiting for another attack, like Clinton did...President Bush does not show the intellect that Clinton did, to be a great orator, and have a way with words that made Clinton be adored by his followers, but Bush states what he will do, and does not bend under pressure from other politicians or haters, like Chris Myers...

I don't think Chris M is a hater. He has a right in this country to express his feelings and debate them. If you poll 100 democrats and 100 republicans you will see that most democrats view things opposite what republicans do. This is the American way! I agree with Christian on his last post. About Vietnam and JFK! And I am from Mass! The problem arises when you get Michael Moore movies that spread hate towards the Americans in harms way! This is bad no matter what side of the fence you are on! The haters don't need fuel. Another problem is when parties put their agenda in front of what is best for the country just to gain control. Let's all vote for Ralph Nader lol.

NO Allen he is a American by the democrats standards. Its funny, how many thousands of Americans and our allies have died for this "American " to be allowed to saw and do what he does? I wonder I he would have made this filth if it were a Democrat in office.

Amadeo, If you turly respect your right to vote....Truly...then you should have a profound respect for the right to "free speach". Free speach is not "free" when it is censored or controlled or overuled by popular opinion when Mr Colletti or Christian speak, they speak from a seemingly well informed point of view... you seem to get your knowledge from the media ..... and having lived in an eatern block country.... you should realize that the media is a tool for the powerfull and rarely a reflection of anything true "my opinion" people fought and died to protect my right to express it ..and I will and do exercise it with respect Christopher Myers

To add to your list of well informed POV, I will sit beside Colletti and Christian. Maybe I haven't been in the service, but I do know a lot of what's going on. BTW, I don't think I fully understood which way your question was going about bring down the corrupt. Allen

Allen,
My statement meant that being in opposition to the president and expressing that does not make a "traitor" which is a very strong word
I beleive that MM beleives that Bush is corrupt and he is exercising his right to try to do something about it. that is what I meant with my statement if you beleive that a regime or a political "man" is corrupt you act.... that is what MM is doing. I do not know if I beleive everything that MM believes .... But I know for sure I beleive in his right to express it. to be a traitor you would have to be loyal to someone else traitor
\Trai"tor\, n. [OE. traitour, OF. tra["i]tor, tra["i]teur, F. tre[^i]tre, L. traditor, fr. tradere, traditum, to deliver, to give up or surrender treacherously, to betray; trans across, over + dare to give. See Date time, and cf. Betray,Tradition, Traditor, Treason.] 1. One who violates his allegiance and betrays his country; one guilty of treason; one who, in breach of trust, delivers his country to an enemy, or yields up any fort or place intrusted to his defense, or surrenders an army or body of troops to the enemy, unless when vanquished; also, one who takes arms and levies war against his country; or one who aids an enemy in conquering his country
you and I have disagreed without malice before I hope that can continue
The reason I mentioned Colletti and Binnie in my post as being informed is because Amadeo was using them for reference ...... it was not meant to imply others in this post were not intelligent if it was it would have been an insult to James and Simon who are very very very intelligent. I hold you in that same esteem. So I apologize if I was not clear, but not for what I beleive

I would like to assure you that there are no tensions between you and me. Sometimes...matter of fact -- all the time...people take my words the wrong way. I hope you haven't. I, too, hope we can continue to objectively debate. I value your viewpoints on everything you have said. Like you, I will stick to my beliefs as well. As for the "traitor" comment, MM trying to bring down the current president instead of devoting his time and money towards supporting our troops. He peddles what he BELIEVES to be what the rest of the nation SHOULD believe. Further down the page on Dictionary.com it also states that the word 'traitor' can mean, "to deceive". People I know have said it will either convince you, or piss you off. I agree, MM has the right to express and say what he likes. But, like the adage goes: Just because you have the right to say it doesn't mean you have to say it. [ I think Uncle Ben, in Spiderman I, said something similar. ] Where was the movie, "Dirty Blue Dress Worn by Semen" which was inspired by Clinton...while in office? If his true intentions are to get the corrupt out of office, why did he not pursue that avenue then? Sure, there are probably some write-ups on it here and there that Moore may have done, but in comparison to Bush? Blah! That's my viewpoint. I would like to write more, but I am sleepy and may start to type incoherently. See ya, man

My views and my opinion are just that, mine but here they are, Michael Moore is an anti American traitor who hides behind a BS agenda of anti Bush. That movie spends more time bashing our troops than it does any republican viewpoint or action. He uses his warm Grandfather like voice to calm his audience into trusting him as he wields his anti American message. He is a traitor in almost every sense of the word.
He peddles his crap to ignorant uninformed people and he bets they won't call him on his invalidated and mostly fictional stories. He always has and probably always will because he is a firm believer in P.T Barnum's famous quote "There is a sucker born every minute" MM believes that those people will always buy a ticket to the "documentary" of the month and he is sadly correct.
