you brought up a good point... I wasn't sure what to do regarding the needle comments
the yelling at eachother, I am not sure what effect that has on the kids. It gives me an opportunity to tell them how you shouldn't be.
I am always honest about this censorship issue. I am by no means an expert on it. I haven't taken any classes on "sportmanship" or what is acceptable or not acceptable. I try to go with my gut on certain things. It isn't always right.
but it raises a good discussion. I personally like some trash talking. It wakes the audience up. But how much is too much. I don't know.

it's not like the needle comments were a false accusation whoa! thats a bold statement. yes I think they went to far and should have at least been given a foul and maybe a "stop now or your disqualified", but thats what tom does. and travis talks crap to almost everyone, look at what he was sayin to timmy! but to say and then agree that travis is on the needle is like sayin tom drinks too much! ;D kiddin tom ill buy you a shot of Patron.

Leave it up on ArmTV....it was great...Travis did crush him but the entertainment was the trash talk from both parties....WWE style

I like a little trash talkin too if its kept clean but lets not forget these atheletes are looked up to by everyone including kids. I think too much latitude is given to the guys in the top spots sometimes and this is a perfect example of that. You can be fouled out for twitching your wrist slightly without opening your mouth, but can state that youre going to whip someones a-- and be fine. not too late to edit it out gary.

My thought is that I have my subscription to Arm TV so that I can see exactly what is said and what happens at a tournament. I don't want to read about what happened I want to see it and hear it. If a parent thinks that his or her child should not hear that type of language then don't let them watch that part or turn the volume off. But I also think that there should be fouls or disqualification for BAD sportsmanship. JMO

lets put it this way...I like controvery when it stiimulates a good debate and no one is getting hurt.
Is the sport being hurt? I don't know, if you say so, I am not going to disagree. I don't know enough. I think the level the sport is at in relation to where I want it to be, I am not sure it can be hurt at this point it is soo far under the radar. Lets look at todays society and what they are watching. Has anyone watched reality television lately? It makes this "subject" look like sesame street.
I am more of the opinion of Ken. I want to show the tournament as it happened. I don't want to show variations of what happened. But Karen, you are right...if I have to ask, then it is probably too much, but at the same token...this did happen on the table, at a tournament, and in front of many people. No one was ejected so as an editor, at that point, when I am putting the footage up. My default choice was..this is not too much for the ARM TV audience.
Mike...yes it can be edited. Lets look at it at a different angle, if it was edited out...would we be able to have this discussion. What if something positive comes from this debate? and that could only happen by airing it.
Karen...your never going to let me live down...the..."I love controversy" comments are you...I get quoted atleast once a year on that.

What did Tom Nelson's shirt say. He told Travis to read it.

Hey coley his shirt said " no i'm not on steroids but thanks for asking." It did geta little out of hand but Tom just wants to exploit the people who can't compete without a little help. I can't say if travis is doing that or not, it's not my place to say that and accuse him of that.
