Mike, I really don't want to be the censorship police. I think there is enough of that in the world.
the point about jake...do you guys take your kids to a hockey game? You know they are going to brawl atleast once. What does that teach the kids? yet we bring them knowing it is going to happen. I think the hockey game example is 10 times worse than this example.

It was a bit much!!! Without the cussing and stuff it would've been ok. The getting fired up is cool, I like that but like I stated before that was a little over the top (no pun intended ). What happens when someone has trained extremely hard goes to the table with someone who trash talks TOO much and someone gets punched at the table? ?? someone who doesn't think too highly of someone "ALL IN THEIR FACE" ??

Why is it always about what we think the kids should see or not see? Does anyone here remember something from a sporting event that "scarred" them for life? We keep censoring our kids, they'll end up wanting to be professional cup stackers or national rock paper scissor champions instead of football, baseball, or basketball stars.

So if my kid isnt exposed to profanity and ignorance at an early age they will be a wuss? Just because its out there and available doesnt mean its something to be seen. Good ideas and views by everyone on this post though.

Without crowds we can not ever expect to be paid athleats so think outside the box. This is a great sport that is not recognize as such.make it more entertaining and they will come.i don't think what we saw was healthy for are sport but if we can contain this sort of heat with out the cussing then i know we will draw the fans.

"Wussification" is, when they stopped counting points in pee-wee sports? Considering "Cup Stacking" as a sporting type event!!! not the exposure to "Profanity". Everyone gets to participate, even if they don't put any effort to get better...etc etc ...

Who cares, Lets start a Toughman and Armwrestling touranment , only for guys over 220lbs, no little guys , no disrespect, people only want to see the big guys in this type of touranment, Armwrestler first , and thats how you seed the the toughman three 1 minute rounds, then everyone can run their mouth and have a good time, Pete would be a good to get this type of touranment going, he would be a excellent promoter. To everyone, remember they have children fighting today at 6 and 7 years and swearing is in almost 99% percent of movies today. I like it , good job Gary, Travis would have Knocked Tom Nelson out quicker than he pinned him in armwrestling , Tom Nelson is alright , but he drinks to much , and has beer muscles.

^^^^Exactly, on both posts above. By sheltering kids too much it just confuses them. Obviously you want to shelter them from some things depending on their age, but why not, for example, teach them by example how not to act in real life situations like this little tiff?

I agree with the point that if the profanity is kept to a bare minimum, or better yet, nonexistent, a little hype like that is great. As a competing armwrestler, people ask me if I've ever seen two guys get in fight at a tourney, etc. People have that stigma for the sport. I've been proud to tell them it's just the opposite, and the comraderie in the armwrestling family is stronger than most people know. Yes, there are arguments and egos clash and that makes for great entertainment. I have yet to see punches thrown, so I think we're doing allright.

Todd, I am an excellent promoter but I would not do a tournament like that and if I did, I would go with Professional fighters trying to armwrestle instead of armwrestlers trying to fight. To men the fighting part would be more entertaining if it were done professionally. Letting armwrestlers fight would not be a good thing. Main reason is, I don't think that many armwrestlers are great fighters. No disrespect, if anything its a compliment. I just think the majority of the armwrestlers are more reserved and non confrontational. JMO

In terms of should it be on Arm TV, of course it should. Arm Wrestling is a sport with different personalties. Fact is Tom fueled by alcohol/ adrenalin doesn't allow him to act rational. It is a combat sport so while respect is something some of us value we can't expect others to all be the same. Travis was being Travis, loud and backing it up. Tim B let him know he ain't nobodies punk. While the fight thing would be cool the two sports don't fit, you try throwing punches after pulling and your tendons will let you know what pain is all about. As parents of the kids present or watching it is your responsibility to teach your kids how to act. Might have been a good time to teach how alcohol affects judgment.

Just a thought.....
I believe Travis is trying to entertain by putting on a show that a lot like to see like with Voveoda. ( He did look really pissed at Tom though.) Tom has a way of bringing that out of people, even Brzenk.
I know Tom, and really do believe he is that intense. I don't know if he can fight, but I believe he would take on most while in competition mode.
Don't know about Travis (No disrespect to the King!)
