For everyone's info Tom only had one or two beers before that match. What you saw was just pure rage, not a drunk one like everyone is use to. I do agree it was a little out of hand.
And Todd, to say Travis would knock Tom out faster than he pinned him is a huge statement. I don't know how good a fighter travis is but never underestimate Tom. Tom is a fighter and I believe he would really hurt Travis. Tom even told me he'd be willing to do a cage fight with ufc rules, but would travis be willing to do it, I dought it. He has to protect that 10 million dollar arm.

I think Travis was there for the potential to make money. He knew that if anything happened he would have not had a chance of winning the bike. If this would had been a tourney for just a title I think there would have been trouble. Travis looked like he was about to snap. I'm sure we will see a part 2. My guess is that it will be more serious the next time.

Oh brother. You guys either don't know them or you are just plain clueless. Tom wouldn't do anything and neither would Travis. They might have their little words between them but it would never escalate into anything worth worrying about. They were wrong but crap happens and sometimes emotions and adrenaline get the best of us all. Relax people, relax. Pete, I love ya, you are ALWAYS RIGHT!!!! "Always" is a strong word. ;D

DJ I don't know if there is going to be a round two. Tom is telling me he might start training harder and get down to 220 so this won't happen again. He knows him and travis definetly can't be in the same class anymore.

I freakin loved it and I know I'm not the only one that did.... Now if they would have actually started fighting, then that wouldn't've been cool.

in my opinion tom and travis rule. put everthing in context.. Adult events are for adults... their is armwrestling and other sports for children..like travis said he's a grown ass man and if tom would have gave travis a shot in the mouth he would of had to back it up like a grown ass man..i personaly prey for crap like that to happen to me..it would give me a chance to show some of my other talents

Pete I mean a toughman boxing , just guys with the 16oz gloves , it would be fun to do, I think alot of guys would do this , only guys that armwrestler could take part , no ringers Travis vs. Tom first fight, and we can match up everyone else, I'm in Todd, my brother Eric lets see who else would take part, Pete you know you could promote this kind of event , Head gear and 16 oz gloves and were all safe. Ps lets not here anything negative from flowerbeds out , only the toughguys ,

I have been reading this thread from the start and knew there would be one on this subject once I watched the ARM TV footage. My opinion on the event is that Tom crossed the line with his comments and Travis retaliated in kind. Tom made it personal with the accusations which I do not agree with. In the past Travis has made comments about his opponents but it is always been limited to strength or armwrestling ability... armwrestling related and not personal. I do not see why there is all this talk about getting them to fight. Travis is the better armwrestler and it should stay at that. As far as censorship... I think a warning at the start of the clip would be sufficient. REFEREES SHOULD NOT BE SO GUN SHY WHEN HANDING OUT FOULS FOR UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT! Problem solved...
What is the connection here guys? If you want to promote toughman or some other combat sport then do it. I do not see how armwrestling should be lumped into that event. It seems a little silly to me to try an event like this. I can see it now... a bunch of big fat armwrestlers throwing wild punches.
Grippler... you pray for someone to trash talk you so you can beat them up? Do you think people at an armwrestling event want to see a fight? If you want to fight then go fight... we will all take your word that you can. The have seen matches at World Championships almost come to blows and there were 50 of us to break it up. Does that sound like people want to see this happen?
Gary... let me go on record as saying I am one of few Canadians who does not like hockey... and I will also say that you made an ignorant (bordering on moronic) statement when you said that every hockey game has a brawl at least once. Don't play Mr. Innocent about controversy either... you know it sells and have been guilty in the past of instigating it.

Ryan....what i meant to say is stuff like that in everyday life....you know getting called out! it's been done before and i don't like starting fights honestly. but i sure don't mind being in one...
did you ever here a Friend say i was at the gas pump today when this guy out of no where did......or he got out of his car and..
i have a volatile personality at times yes i admit that is it good no!...I need an outlet arm wrestling to me is that outlet it's like a fight to me the same kind of emotions run thru me at times. a real adrenaline rush when deep in a hook...what a feeling when its over...likeyou have fought before remember the nervous energy????remember after the first Punch that he landed on you?? it all just went away the nerves i mean and you go to battle.....
Arm wrestling is a legit sport and i love it for that Ryan is right it has it's own place...but its a combat hurting sport and i understand it's relationship and similarities fighting....it's why i love it so much in the brief time Ive been in..
my statement on further reflection was stupid i admite...but i can't help it wife won't let me fight unless i 'm doining it in cqb class and it's pretty regulated body pads when striking red man suites when using batons even football helmets..wimps..
GET SOME AGGRESSION RELEASE IT OUT ON THE TABLE AND GO RELAX AFTER!

baseball players throwing bases. football players, basketball, hockey,etc.etc. starting and getting into fights in pro-sports get ejected and or fined. Also possible game suspension. Both should of been ejected. I agree Travis is Travis and Tom is Tom but there should be a limit. I also disagree that it's Arm TV responsibility to censor. Though promoters and refs should. Let the attitudes be, but you don't have to condone it. There should be a penalty. That behavior should not become the norm. A little Trash talk is fun, but when the shoving and cussing comes out, send them home, no refund.

Thats the problem with our kids today. We as in adults think this type of thing is ok becase so and so does it and so does so and so that make it ok for my kids? I think not. I like what Ron said yes it will happen but when it does you need to get your2 weeks no tv or no going out side to play since you act like a kid you need to be treated like one I guess. I think alot of posts in this thread came from people that dont have any kids I might be wrong on that but i know the word {RESPECT} is a word my kid will grow up with and under stand its power.

This is a competitive sport w/ alot of emotion involved, not everybody's going to hug and shake hands at the end of a match. I also think Travis handled it pretty well considering the things Tom was saying to him. He knew he was winning four keys and didn't want to get kicked out is my guess. I commend Travis for letting it go and not going up side his head after the tournament. I teach my kids respect but I also teach them to stand up for there self. Respect has to be given in order to be recieved.

Grippler: I wish I was more like you at times! I can't tell you how many times someone has said something and I've walked away without even a second word, not that I want to fight! I just don't have that type of personality, I guess. I walk away (which is good) but "STEW" about it for days and bottle it up (not so good). Sorry this post is way off-topic.
