Tom doesn't drink to much... the sad reality is that people around the world will not face the fact that there are millions of beers going undrunk each every day around the world. From the american lager to the english dark and yes even the small and often over looked micro brews of big city bars. If it weren't for Tom(and myself if I may add) this world would be dealing with over stocked shelves, full kegs and dusty bottles. Just imagine the magnitude of this situation: It's not only the beer that suffers, but also the beer company reps, bar tenders and even the urinal cakes. If it were not for great men like Tom where would this worlds beer population go? How many ounces of cold beer would go to spoil? So do your part... Only a $40 a month contribution gives hundreds of ounces of beer a good home inside your belly. It's so easy... Just call up some friends and ask them to go out and chip in on pitcher of beer. Just think how good you will feel about yourself(until the next morning that is.)
Brought to you in part by Save the beers of Tomorrow. A non-profit organization(not by choice but rather because they are to drunk to figure out how to do thier books and make a little more than beer money)

As far as the trash talking, it seems to me that Tom tends to take it to another level. Like at the Mohegan, he was talking about "coming fists a blazin" at Travis. Personally I don't get it. He gets all pissed and pumped to get smoked every time. Then after he does he always kisses Travis's ass, saying he's the best and whatnot. Don't get me wrong, Tom's a hell of an armwrestler, but when you get all crazy and pissed it's really easy to for people to out think you. I think it all plays right into Travis's game. Also if he would stop and think about it, Travis does almost the exact same thing every time he pulls Tom.
Matle' from what I've seen Tom drinks Corona, not micros.

Also as far as the editing thing, I say leave it as it is. You can edit out the language and whatnot, but let us see the whole tournament for what it is, that's what we pay for. I personally don't want to just hear about what happened if I can and paid to watch it.

Just signed up and watched. Thats just funed.... You honor your opponent or you just ignore them, period. If thats what i would have seen at my first tournament i would not have contiunued in the sport. Top example of why this will never be in the olympics(among other things), you guys compare it to wwe and think its great.....

I agree with you P-O. I was there and thought it to be to much. For those that were there for the first time imagin what they tought! We dont want this to be in the same catagory as wwe. fore the most part most armwrestlers are gentlemen and ladies. But it only takes this kind of actions to lable use as entertainers. I know Travis and Tom are great athaletes but I think they went to far. I being a ref would of had a hard time not disquifing them both. Put that agression in to the pull, not into the peoples eyes and ears that are watching. JMO

Other sports in the olympics Im sure have had events with similar incidences. It will happen in combat sports. Now Perhaps Not even the reason of Mutiple organizations running the sport which was an old brought up reason for years. The main reason is the flow of the a tournament , and the fact its an OLD sport and there are so many other extreme sports for the olympic committee to view each year. Im sure there are many sports that have wondered why not us. From Bowling to Zebra riding

I had heard about this confrontation so I went looking for it. Oh my! Casey - go to Pro Right Cam 1 Part 3 at 7:00 How much "trash talk" is too much? Let's see! Trash talk as we all see it on this board is in good fun. 2 competitors who respect one another doing a little challenging and mouthing somewhat. Adds a little hype to the event. It's in fun, it's good natured, etc. What happened between Travis and Tom, IMO, is NOT trash talk. It's POOR sportsmanship. Good for Ed Fitzgerald for fouling them both. Honestly, I would have disqualified them both. When the butting back and forth started, that would have been it. It was done purposely, no accident. I don't believe it's a matter of not letting your kids watch it on ArmTV. There were kids all over the room at the event. What examples did Tom and Travis set for these children? Our sport's future had to watch and hear this garbage? How do you tell these children that it's unacceptable to act in this manner when they saw it happen right in front of them and both men continued even off the table? Tom and Travis are both great competitors and I like them both. I understand adrenalin is flowing right along with testosterone. I understand egos are racing. But gee guys, this kind of action does not, again IMO, make you look better in our eyes. We all admire your abilities to compete, not to push and shove, scream and cuss at one another. Get on the table and do what you do best ---- COMPETE! Leave the rest of the garbage for other sports where they pay people to make fools of themselves. Gary - IMO, if YOU have to ask "how much is too much" then you've reached the too much point. You are not doing our sport a service by airing trash. WE, the majority of us, have tried to convince the general public that our sport is legitimate and filled with athletes. This "macho" chest beating display hurts not helps! This is EXACTLY the image that most of the population believes armwrestling is all about. Gary you and I have had this conversation a number of times. You state over and over that you LOVE CONTROVERSY. Controversy is what destroys this sport. It does not help it to grow and prosper! Thank you Karen.

Travis is a great Guy. Tom is a great Guy. Bad situation. Don't keep showing it. Tom is a likeable guy and a great arm wrestler, but he has too quick a temper. He's going to hurt someone and regret it if he doesn't learn to cool it. That fighting with Travis garbage doesn't show courage. No one respects that. If those 2 got into a fight,it would be a train wreck. One of them could get killed. The other goes to jail.
