Gary, I'm a 'had it', and 'enjoyed it'. In fact, I'm a 'Loved it'. Never forget...You took this sport from the dark ages, into the light. No question about that. Ever. As there will never be another JB, I'm certain in my position, there will never be another GR. You've done more for the sport than the Olympics COULD HAVE.

Jim: Gary got everyone "hyped" over the video with the guise that there was this HUGE announcement......I fell for it too....And what was it?...Give money to ARMTV, so Gary can TRY to use that money to "advance" the sport....WHOOP DE DOO!
Gary I don't see you bashing Tim Lewis, OR Chris Lydman, OR Greg Sharon, like you "tried" to do with me.... AND THEY SAID WHAT I DID....Just NICER!!!! Again: I, along with Pete put ONE meet on....I got the sponsorship, THEY GOT TRIPLE IN THEIR RETURN....How much did Don get"?...NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!....AND he fell for your "hype" again...That to me is a DUMBASS..I can take Dons money and at LEAST give him SOMETHING of a return on his investment.....How much did you make on Kansas? I bet what I and Pete made more on our ONE tournament than you did on ALL your ROTNS COMBINED..NO I DON'T Need Don Fritches money to make money to put on a tournament....
BTW: Since no one answered my questions regarding Petaluma and Tony Celestes meets on the "SPAIN thread I will re ask.....
Does anyone know what made Petaluma go off the air? Was it ratings or rule changes...I know why Tony Celestes HOOK tournaments went off, OR at least what the SPONSORS wife told me what the reason was.....ALSO, the same with the Yukon Jack tournaments?
Gary: NO ARMTV around for all those yrs Petaluma AND Tony Celestes HOOK Tournaments were on tv....YET the were on and had SPONSORS!!!!!!!!!!!
We know why its not mainstream...ITS BORING, TO MANY DUMBASS RULES, TO MANY CLASSES. Why to many classes? AGAIN, so promoters make "SOMETHING" with ALL the entry fees! PUT on a HUGE MONEY tournament, with less classes AND LESS RULES AND NO ONE WILL GO...Why? Cause everyone knows who will show. everyone knows who will win. AND ALL THE CRYBABIES who can't pull guys 10-20lbs heavier than them WON'T SHOW... ONLY THE CREAM OF THE CROP WILL GO!!!!!!! AND thats about 1% of ALL the ARMWRESTLERS!!!!!
THIS HAS BEEN SAID A MILLION TIMES....
Gary where would you, Pullingjohn, PAC, and "SOME" of this board, and PROBABLY, thats PROBABLY Petaluma be without a certain someone?....Bet you he's got or is getting NOTHING for his return...Just being used as a withdrawal machine LIKE DON FRITCHE!!!!!!!!
PEOPLE...Business 101.....To get sponsorship YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO GET THEM SOMETHING IN RETURN..ARM friggin tables, ARM friggin WARMERS, CHALK ETC....IS NOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won't embarass you with England.......

Christian in any strength sport or boxing you have to have the all the classes to have fair playing field. If you want less classes they should drop left handed its like watching paint dry.

What are you talking about with England? Nothing embarrasses me. I thought that was apparent.
I am not sure why I do what I do with you Christian. I don't think it was until later in the afternoon that I had to realize I had to check myself in the way I was reacting. we all know I can get emotional on here.
thank you for putting up information that is usable.
first, the hype. the original title was "why the sport will never go anywhere" so that was a hint of what it was then I went off the deep end just trying to get everyone all worked up. maybe I went over board but once I commit to something I usually follow all the way through whether or not it was a good idea. I hung up on my mom for crike sakes. That should show how much I was into it.
Forgive me Christian. This board has been boring and it did make it interesting for a day.
Bashing Don Fritsche. Not cool though. this is a great man that believes in what we are doing. I am very thankful and it could end at any moment. So I count my blessings. But Don Fritsche has stated that he also wanted to give back to the sport and this was the way he chose to do it. It wasn't just for us. ARM TV also helped fund the first event with the atual operations of it. John Buxton, and Coley Jones also chipped in. Karen Bean helped. Bob brown helped. Tony Picchioldi helped. It was a wonderful effort on many individuals efforts to pull of. There was no "ATM machine" about it. It was a wonderful experience. And I will take that over any other day of the week experience. It was never supposed to turn a profit. It is still too early to tell what the future will bring. But we are confident about that future.
You guys have great tournaments and have had a great following. You have gotten alot of supermatches lined up using pullers to fund their own match and then used that as a draw for other pullers. The supermatch pullers brought teams with them that filled out the classes. A great idea....works tremendously. Especially in the NE where you have a great concentration of pullers. I wish all the luck to you in the future.
I don't pretend to know where the sponsors when back in the day but having seen the shows from NAL, armwrestling is marketable. I will forever think that. After watching the olympics I have seen more than one reason to believe that you make anything watchable.
"no arm tv around for all those years" The past is the past and all I know is that every tournament someone comes up to me and tells me how they grabbed an idea from Ron Klemba or Corey Miller. Thanks for the video.
I feel good about what I am doing and I don't think that was happening very often back in the 70's/80s/90s ect.
Where would I be without a certain someone? I will forever be thankful for Dave Devoto, he is the reason I am in the sport. Although he hasn't been involved to much in the last few years. He is the reason I am here. Along with harold Ryden. and that will never be forgotten.
ARM TV is 100% self supporting.
Please embarrass me with England. I have no idea what you are talking about.

Arm TV would also not be here if it were not for all the promoters who have put on the great events that we have filmed over the years as well as the armwrestlers who have attended those events, and the armwrestlers who have subscribed to watch them. As you can see I have a lot of weight on my shoulders for the responsibility that I feel to give back to everyone ten fold what they have give n me. You call that a snake oil salesman. If you wish, but it isn't going to change me or the passion that I have now and forever with this sport called armwrestling.

The supermatch pullers brought teams with them that filled out the classes. A great idea....works tremendously. Especially in the NE where you have a great concentration of pullers. I wish all the luck to you in the future. Let's get one thing straight. I NEVER tell anyone to come and use their own money. I suggest sponsors, I suggest loans, I even try to sponsor some myself. Ask Tom Nelson who sponsored him last time he was out here. Why do you think he comes to everyone of our events? We do what we can to help the armwrestlers. As far as CHALLENGE match people bringing members of their team with them being a great idea. I didn't come up with that. That's how it has always been in armwrestling. At least up until recently. If anything, our events bring back that element that is missing. Where guys all jump into a car and travel far distances to go and pull. The NAA was designed to try and show people that Armwrestling can be spectator friendly. We were, as far as I know, the first ones to ever have a COMPLETE SCHEDULE of events throughout the day. You were able to come up at any point in the day and ask when something would be starting. You were then given an EXACT TIME as to when it would be starting. It didn't matter what it was. I have NEVER seen that at any other event. The NAA events also brought together some of the best talent on one stage from North America. Some of the best matches around were held at these events. Some are still talked about to this day. My "VISION" was that others would follow this format. To this day, the only thing that was close was the NAL and it is gone. The NAL was just like the NAA except with a major sponsor. That is why I why fully behind it and supported it. Arm TV would get that same support from me and many others if it would only listen instead of taking everything so personal. Arm TV could be the best thing that ever happened to armwrestling, but Arm TV gets in it's own way. Please don't ever bring up the NAA ever again. You don't have a clue yet as to what it's intentions were and you probably never will. I Want My Arm TV!!!! What were the most viewed clips on Arm TV again?

ARM TV is 100% self supporting. Wrong!!! Arm TV is 100% DEPENDENT!!! Armsport Videos is 100% self supporting!!! Arm TV is dependent on Don Fritsche sponsoring the ROTN. Arm TV is dependent on armwrestlers paying a monthly fee. Armsport Videos is 100% self supporting. Ignorance is a Bowl of S H I T thinking it's a bowl of PUDDING!!!
