Hard to place him at 98.... Luke and Brandon are smaller.... I'd like to see him pull some top 98ers On any count.. he has come along fast, looks very strong and I say him and vaz will be best 2 in no time...

Neil Pickup.... That's the now and immediate future
Given his drive, vast knowledge of the sport and it's participants, an understanding of what makes AW watchable and highlighting matches that showcase that, his gift of gab, stage presence, how much he has done already.... I feel safe to say if when all is said and done if he hasn't sparked a REAL interest with how he orchestrates his show.... We won't see it. Unless of course one of us becomes a billionaire tycoon and wants to invest in the sport and showcase it on our own channel and give away sponsorship money from within..... Here's to wishing

Not sure, I do know most people are resistant to change.... Especially those who are doing well like it is and change could make for a different pecking order. That mind set is selfish and will keep this sport from progressing. bitch:ng about a change because it directly affects your style as opposed to looking at the impact it could have throughout the sport is very narrow minded.... And is why people can't agree on weight classes.... Ready go cadences.... What fouls constitute a foul.... Starting in a hook or straps ..... Etc Most people are advocates for what works best for them...
Me.... I'm a 220 guy who is cool with open weight class at 200+ because I think less classes will be better I would start in a hook even though I have a strong toproll if it meant less slips and more viewer friendly I would start in a strap if people resisted the hook start even though I rarely go the straps I would support any elbow foul solution that would actually work....and I have fouled out of maybe 2-3 matches in my entire time pulling... It's not an issue for me.... I could only benefit from keeping it like it is... I could hit waf and skate to finals from everyone else fouling out...
In short.... I could go against all my advantages and accept any change if it meant actual FAIR matches where we see the best guy or girl win.... I am not afraid of change, I welcome it ,once we know the rules we can adjust

I gotta disagree John , pops do make a difference too.. Why do pullers jockey for grip so much ? Because we all know an 1/8 " makes a big difference in close matches.... Hand height is no different IMO

^^^ good idea.... See, a little tinkering, maybe make it slide on ball bearings
Hook matches are a stale mate for people close in strength, Brendan dye and rustam don't seem to wait for people to fatigue.... A bunch of other pullers too
But hooking isn't the only option

How more arm breaks and torque ? You are the only one that can put yourself in that position And is being tied gonna make you stronger ?..... So where is the torque ?
It's an idea, the pad moving could be an easy build to give some movement
I just think going to a championship of any sort and seeing the boat load of restarts and matches called from fouls are ridiculous And they have to be called because the fouls do give an advantage...soo
If we have to call them because they are game changing We can't prevent them as they happen all the time "just keeping your elbow on the pad " is good on paper.... Why don't we all do it... While we are at it we should all say no to drugs.... That would cut most of the crime plaguing this country..... That looks better on paper too..... But in REALITY....ya
Will it change the game a bit ?... A bit, but no different than going from sit down pulling to stand up I can't see how you can't use hand strength , toproll, backpressure, press, flop.... If it's tinkered with. It's just a way of making it EXACTLY the same for everyone.... Then we all get to pull and not worry about ref bad or missed calls.... Or favorites.... Or even the guy who cracked and fatigued your wrist by elbow fouling way off... Got called on it.... Restart... Then cracks it without having to foul because he took so much out of you on the initial foul...something he might have been unable to do had they been confined to that 7" pad and not 10". Even a little foul can be a game changer.... Even if it's called
Fouls are inevitable, this is an idea to roll around and maybe eliminate 90% of fouls and restarts
John Wilson said it would be all eastern European hook matches.... Or something like that... That is FAR more entertaining to me... And further more resembles armwrestling much more than a guy fouling out and never pulling Plus, if all hook matches where this sport had to go as opposed to where we are now... I'm cool with that change.
Then again, I said I can't see why all styles can't be implemented..

Like I said I guess it depends on style... If you false start on a stronger guy than you that is solid..... It wont really matter Just like guys who don't hit... No different than a false start really
