... use every effort to prevail on the churches to gather to those regions and locate themselves, to be in readiness to move into Jackson county [Missouri] in two years from the eleventh of September next, which is the appointed time for the redemption of Zion. They say they believe Jesus is the only way. But listen carefully when I say it is ANOTHER JESUS. As Paul talked about in galations. It is ANOTHER GOSPEL.
Mormonism teaches the blood atonement doctrine which a Mormon on this board confirmed and defended.
The blood atonement doctrine was written by Brigham young.
It teaches that Jesus blood does not atone for ALL sin.
Some examples are
Marrying a black person Adultery Leaving the Mormon church
The blood atonement doctrine teaches that if a Mormon commits these sins there own blood is to be shed to atone for the sins..... And that it is the the responsibility of his Mormon brothers to kill him.
This is a teaching that is not openly admitted or well known but is STILL practiced today!!!

Galatians 1:6-10
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

My Jesus, the Jesus of the bible washed away all my sin.
This is the only way to heaven. Through the blood sacrifice of the Son of God. The Lamb of God.

All correct according to Brad, only difference is that in your opinion it's another Christ, they think it's the same Christ just different beliefs about him. Like his blood wasn't enough alone which doesn't line up with the Bible which they supposedly follow first. I have found to many holes so far. Remember im just studying it to learn about it so I will compare and contrast really well after I have learned as much as I can. I understand that so far they have a completely different view than of the God of the holy scriptures. Joseph imo was a false prophet that was preached to by and Angel it could have even been a real angel but it's still in error according to scriptures because it is a different gospel

It also has taught that being black was a punishment by God which I just can't follow. They changed the translation to pure. About your skin turning to white. Seems there may have been racism for awhile .

There are evil angelic spirits in the world. If these are not fallen angels then God must have created evil spiritual beings. That just isn't the case. God did not create evil. Isaiah 45:7 King James Version (KJV) 7I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Curious to hear your take on this scripture John. Thanks, Enjoying the discussion.

Seems there may have been racism for awhile . Go to Jeremiah films website. They lots of information on DVD documentaries. They didn't allow blacks in the Mormon church until the living prophet at the time got a "revalation" from the lord that god had all of a sudden forgiven them in the late 70's

I found this to support the NIV interpretation. Definitely makes more sense once I read the verse within the context of the chapter.
Question: "Why does Isaiah 45:7 say that God created evil?"
Answer: Isaiah 45:7 in the King James Version reads, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” How does Isaiah 45:7 agree with the view that God did not create evil? There are two key facts that need to be considered. (1) The word translated “evil” is from a Hebrew word that means “adversity, affliction, calamity, distress, misery.” Notice how the other major English Bible translations render the word: “disaster” (NIV, HCSB), “calamity” (NKJV, NAS, ESV), and “woe” (NRSV). The Hebrew word can refer to moral evil, and often does have this meaning in the Hebrew Scriptures. However, due to the diversity of possible definitions, it is unwise to assume that “I create evil” in Isaiah 45:7 refers to God bringing moral evil into existence.
(2) The context of Isaiah 45:7 makes it clear that something other than “bringing moral evil into existence” is in mind. The context of Isaiah 45:7 is God rewarding Israel for obedience and punishing Israel for disobedience. God pours out salvation and blessings on those whom He favors. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him. “Woe to him who quarrels with his Master” (Isaiah 45:9). That is the person to whom God brings “evil” and “disaster.” So, rather than saying that God created “moral evil,” Isaiah 45:7 is presenting a common theme of Scripture – that God brings disaster on those who continue in hard-hearted rebellion against Him.

evil is darkness so the correlation is absolute
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Matthew 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
