Words Very kind words take work, and are forgotten quickly Very harsh words are effortless, and can last a lifetime
Choice of words might mean nothing to you Trust me, it means everything to the recipient

I did not write these but I like them I got them in a chain E-mail
I AM THANKFUL
FOR THE WIFE WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT, BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME, AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
FOR THE HUSBAND WHO IS ON THE SOFA BEING A COUCH POTATO, BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.
FOR THE TEENAGER WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES BECAUSE THAT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME, NOT ON THE STREETS.
FOR THE TAXES THAT I PAY BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I AM EMPLOYED.
FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.
FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.
FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE.
FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING, WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING, AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING
BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME.
FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND THAT I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.
FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.
FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH THAT SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I CAN HEAR.
FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.
FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.
FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I AM ALIVE

This is posted in my funny E-mails but I thibk it is very thought worthy A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE. They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE. The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it." LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Send this phrase to the people you'll never forget. If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry and that you've forgotten your friends. Take the time to live! Do not value the THINGS you have in your life. But value WHO you have in your life!

Discipline
I spanked my little boy today I could hear my fathers words resounding through my head as I said them "this is gonna hurt me more than you" I had two painful thoughts First , with clarity I know my father had Lied when he said that Second, I pray when my boy grows up he knows I was telling the truth

The Burdon of responsibility
As long as I am weighed down with the debts of this world I can be no greater than the man I have always been.
Only when I have fulfilled the obligations I have undertaken may I aspire to reveal the man that was always within me.

Soul Mate My dearest soul mate In story tales soul mates Wake together everyday smiling I would in reality be content To wake with you everyday having The opportunity to earn your smile In story tales soul mates Never leave one another alone I would in reality be content That when you do leave You eventually come back In story tales soul mates Never quarrel I would in reality be content To know that when we have quarreled you would always be willing to start over with a fresh slate

First, I think your "views" have not done your thread justice. Second, keep those words of wisdom coming; they inspire. Third, I would like to add a quote, if I may. - <Ahem> <Ahem> - - "Now I am going to whip all three of you. That way I know I got the right one." - My dad. (Have I already said this one? If so, you see how it sticks with you?)

Allen, one of My fathers famous ones is I will beat whichever kid I catch first, if he did it he got what he deserved , if he didn't he got a good warning and probably past the beating on down to the appropriate party ( My father was an ass though ) Christopher Myers
