Mike West. I've never seen Ryan Thames pull before, but I have seen Mike pull at least 60 times. The only people I have seen beat him at 198 are Brent Rakers, Scott Ballinger, Cobra Rhodes, Steve Rau, Bill Logsdon, basically top 10 pullers.

I think the point system is what seems to be desired by at least the 80kg guys. The ranking is a motivation to attend tournaments. I think the points would need to reset every January 1st. I would say if you enter a super/challenge match with a ranked puller, if the lower ranked puller wins, he/she gets the 5 points for beating a higher ranked puller, but no more. If the higher ranked puller wins, he gets the money but no points. Maybe we can come up with some cool awards to give to the highest ranked puller at the end of each year? This system would heavily favor certain geographic areas. California for example has about half of the ranked 80kg guys. They will run into each other at just about every tournament. Guys like John Parton have to spend a lot more money to have a chance to stay in the rankings.

I think the number of people over staying their welcome in Novice classes is few, but their effect could be substantial. As we all know, attracting new pullers is difficult and if they don't feel the slightest bit competitive at their first tournament-you can kiss 'em goodbye. This is a complex situation because you do have guys that are content to pull one tournament a year, which happens to be in the Novice division at their local tournament. The guy will place 1st or 2nd year after year. I pulled a guy like this once. My coach told me to put my elbow down and wait for the other guy to grip up with me, well that guy did the same thing for nearly the entire minute so I went ahead and got a grip. Then after the go, the guy's wrist felt like re-bar-this was in the Novice division. I have since seen this same dude in that same division 2 years later. Fortunately, I was aware of this guy and able to warn my new teammate so he wasn't so disappointed when he had nothing for that guy. The question comes down to this, should it be my responsibility to report that guy to the promoter since by their definition he is no longer a novice? Or as Simon stated before, let that guy actually be a measuring stick for leaving the Novice division?

Correct me if I'm wrong Karen, but I think what she is saying is if you hear information about Karen and Frank Bean don't believe it. If you are disturbed by some information about Karen and Frank Bean and want to know if it is really true, ask them personally. Karen obviously doesn't want to type the person's name which would be stooping to that person's level. She is just trying to protect the Bean's reputation.

TK, Mark Wilson has consistently pulled in the 198's over the last 2 years. He has been to every Kentucky and some Tennessee tournaments, including Illinois State. You can wait until Kentucky Muscle in November if you want. I expect him to place top 3.

I will get Bill Brown there for a best of 3 left handed against Corey Ruiz if Corey is interested. No money, just ranking and pride.

My opinion for what it's worth (not much): Armwrestling in it's truest/purest form is a one match format. When people approach someone in a bar and challenge them to an armwrestling match, they don't say "let's pull a best of 6". About the only reason it should even be more than a best of one is to minimize any unfair advantage that can slip by a referee. (elbow foul, false start, carving wrist, intentional slip) Best of 3 is equivalent to a tournament with only 2 entrants. Best of 6 is purely for entertainment/television purposes, I don't think we need to dilute the rankings by adding an extra set of rankings for supermatch only pullers.

our second annual MCAC will be Dec 3rd. ill post it soon. Maybe a super match with that left Anthony? i need pay back. That was a good match bro. We are definitely gonna try to make it to this tournament again. We had lots of fun, great turnout. I'm not good enough for a supermatch yet, but I will be glad to pull in your weight class.

I don't think I'd chance it with only 3 hours to rehydrate yourself. I tried to do it with only 1-2 hours recently and my blood sugar never got to normal until sometime during the after pulling. From now on I am gonna try to walk around at my pulling weight.

I can tell you this much, I am not traveling all that way to be the runner up, my moddo is go big or go home. I have every intention to bring it, and then bring the gold back to the US where it belongs! No disrespect to any other nation, I am obviously from the good ole USA and these colors don't run under any circumstances. Do I think it well be tough, sure do, but like I said before I'll be ready for anything and everything. As for me and Devon, seems everyone keeps saying he should be #1, I agree he should be the #1 contender! Lol I am looking forward to this match as well, I think it well be a BIG shock to everyone, so the sooner the better! If I have to wait 6 months, then so be it, but that seriously bites for everyone! Awesome!

I wasn't intimidated, I was just trying to be sensitive to people who may have been offended by my original post. I felt that I got the answer I was seeking, which was that I wasn't "out in left field" for thinking what I thought. I felt the conversation had stalled and thought removing the thread was the best decision. It appears that A.K. was more offended by it's removal than anyone was by it's existence. So I will ask Kurt Howgate to restore the thread. Anthony likes very few things I say or do TK I'm curious as to how you came up with this impression. The only thing I can think of is how you were trying to rank my best friends #1 and I was explaining that there were guys that they have never beat. I am interested to see where you are coming from though.

Todd, had a question for you. Why are my TN events not considered "SEC"? Ray, your Tri-State is on the schedule. I think your TN State tourney wasn't scheduled yet when he created the post for September. I'm sure he'll add it now that you've brought it to his attention.
